About Us

Tasty, nutritious school meals have been provided in the Bradford district for many years. The information we’re providing via this application, means that it’s easier than ever to find out about the meals we serve in school.


The school meals at the schools shown are provided by Bradford Council’s in-house school catering provider, Facilities Management Catering Services.

How to use the school meals app

  • When you go onto the app, tap/click on the “Please select a school panel” to access the dropdown list of schools where we provide catering services.
  • Select your child’s school, and a panel of details will appear showing the school’s logo, contact details, and the food hygiene rating of the school kitchen.
  • To add a selected school to your list of favourites, tap/click on the heart symbol, which will change it from white to red. To “un-favourite” the school, tap/click on the heart symbol again, and it will change from red to white.
  • To access the menu details for a school, simply tap/click anywhere on the school details panel. This takes you straight to the menu for the current day. To see the menu on another day (whether in the future or past), just tap/click on the arrows to the left & right of the date. Alternatively tap/click on the date to bring up the the calendar control and select the required day.
  • There is information on all the day’s menu items. Just scroll up and down the list of menu options.
  • For each dish on the menu there is an image (for illustrative purposes only). There are also icons showing any allergens that are present. Tap/click on the allergen icons for more information.
  • Tap/click on the  symbol to see the nutritional breakdown for a menu item. *Please note that the nutritional values displayed are generated using generic industry software, using generic values for each food item, so are not designed to be relied upon for medical purposes. If nutritional information is required for medical purposes please consult a qualified dietician.
  • Symbols on the dish image indicate if the dish is halal vegetarian or vegan
  • If you only want to display a particular type of dish, you can use the filter button. If, for example, your child has a fish allergy, you can turn on the fish filter, (from blue to grey). Then, when you close the “Meal Filters” window, you’ll only see meal options that do not contain fish. You can apply as many meal filters as you require.
  • Tap/click on the our menu  symbol for more details about the school meals provided by Facilities Management (FM) Catering Services, Bradford Council’s in-house school catering provider.
  • Tap/click on the  icon to link through to the ParentPay website, where you can login to your account in the usual way.

Our Menus

All or main meals are accompanied with either potatoes, rice or naan bread, seasonal vegetables or fresh bread

  • All meat is from farms which satisfy UK welfare standards
  • All fresh vegetables and potatoes are locally sources, wherever possible
  • All desserts are suitable for vegetarians and Muslims
  • All our fish, vegetarian and cheese dishes are suitable for Muslims
  • We do not use preservatives or additives that are unsuitable for children
  • We have a no nut and no genetically modified ingredient policy
  • Fresh fruit is available daily as one of the dessert options
  • Freshly baked bread is available each day
  • All our meals meet the Soil Association’s Food for Life Bronze Award criteria (as a minimum).

The Food for Life Bronze Award criteria demonstrates that the school food we provide which shows that school food is healthy and uses seasonal ingredients that are at least 75% freshly prepared. It gives assurance that our food meets high standards of provenance and traceability, is ethical, sustainable and fresh, free from nasty additives or trans-fats, and meets school food standards.

Universal Infant Free School Meals

The Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme (UIFSM), means that all pupils in reception class, year 1 and year 2 (key stage 1) are entitled to a free school lunch.


There are no forms to fill in, or other eligibility criteria. So if your child is in one of these year groups, you can simply send them along to school to enjoy a delicious free lunch each day. If you would be eligible for free school meals (see criteria below), it’s important that you still register as your school will benefit from extra funding.


Children in Years 3 to 6 could also get school meals for free!
Your child is entitled to free school meals if you receive any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit with an annual income of less than £16,190, (provided you are not receiving Working Tax Credit)
  • the ‘Guaranteed’ element of the State Pension Credit
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income threshold of less than £7,400
